Greetings Eco-Palms Customers!

We wanted to reach out to thank you for supporting the Eco-Palms project and the harvesting communities in Guatemala. As we all continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we wanted to share with you an update about Eco-Palms. Everyone involved with Eco-Palms works to ensure that you receive palms for your services that arrive with no problems, but things don't always unfold as intended.

We know that for some of you, social distancing practice may mean that your traditional Palm Sunday services may not happen. At this point the palms have been harvested by the communities  and are either on a boat on their way to Miami or in Miami. There is no way to cancel the harvest at this point. This means that we will be unable to cancel orders or issue refunds for the palms you have ordered.

We believe in the empowering work of Eco-Palms and know that many of you see the Eco-Palms not only as a means to fulfill a need for your congregation but as an opportunity to live out Christ-like values. The Eco-Palms project allows for the care of creation through sustainable harvesting practices and provides livelihoods for the harvesters in the Mayan Biosphere. Whether you choose to distribute the palms for home use during your live streamed services or save them to burn for Ash Wednesday 2024, we hope that you will be moved to creativity and  grace as we navigate these uncertain times together.
